The Building and Property Maintenance Program is an instructional program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills in the maintenance and repair of residential, office, apartment and commercial buildings.  The instruction includes but is not limited to: basics of carpentry, millwork, plumbing, painting, spackling, basic electricity, basic masonry, tile setting, roofing, and record keeping.  The program emphasizes the learning of specific skills, such as the use and care of hand and power equipment related to all phases of the care and maintenance of a building.  The students will benefit from a practical approach that provides the opportunities to learn by doing, first within the lab, then in actual working settings.  Students in this program will participate in the construction of the CIT Student Built House Project.
