Automotive Collision & Refinishing Technology


Students learn all phases of repair and refinishing work necessary to restore a damaged automobile!

Major and minor collision repair skills include auto body tools, removing and replacing body parts, frame and body straightening, welding, body work preparation, spray painting, air brushing, and estimating repair costs.


Recommended Academic Levels

Reading: Textbook and materials written on 9th grade level.

Math: Ratio & Percentages, Word Problems, Linear & Liquid Measuring

Recommended Academic Courses

On Level English or higher

On Level Math or higher

Recommended Aptitudes

  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Arm and grip strength
  • Able to lift at least 30lbs
  • Follow safety rules
  • Use power tools
