Automotive Technology

Learn and practice in our live garage using the latest technology and equipment!

The Automotive Technology program is a nationally recognized and award winning three-year program that teaches students entry level skills in automotive services that are based on NATEF National Standards.Students have access to the latest computerized equipment for automotive diagnosis and repairs.

Recommended Academic Levels

Reading: College level reading materials

Math: 11-12th grade math skills, measuring (radius, linear, cubic), read ruler to 1/16", decimals & fractions

Recommended Academic Courses

College Prep English or higher recommended

Algebra 1 (formulas)

Geometry (angles)

Physical Science

Recommended Aptitudes

  • Strong math skills

  • Able to read technical materials

  • Able to spend time standing

  • Strong mechanical ability

  • Physical strength required for some jobs
