Building Construction Technology

Students learn in the classroom lab and at our Student Built House Project!

The Building Construction Technology program prepares students to apply technical knowledge and skills in all aspects of residential construction. Students will receive hand son experience using hand and power tools, blueprint reading, framing and roofing, interior and exterior finishing work, and more. Students will work outdoors in all types of weather on a live student-built house project using up-to-date equipment and materials.

Recommended Academic Levels

Reading: 9th grade

Math: Basic math, word problems, measurement, converting fractions to decimals and percent

Recommended Academic Courses


On Level English or higher

Business Math or Geometry
