Cosmetology

Learn the art of hair, nail, and skin care. 

Students learn the anatomy, physiology, coloring, cutting and styling of hair, along with manicuring and facial treatments. By starting in their 10th grade year, students can complete the 1250 hours of instruction needed to be eligible to take the Cosmetology State Board LicensureExamination. Students gain experience through the services they provide to clients in our on-site Clinic Department.

Recommended Academic Levels


Reading: 10th Grade

Math: Basic Math, Money/making change, liquid measure, ratios, basic geometry, analog time

On Level English or higher
