Culinary Arts students spend their days working in the actual production setting of a restaurant and cafeteria.  They prepare and serve the food and beverages at in-school functions such as breakfasts and luncheons, provide the refreshments needed for meetings and cater special events such as school banquets.  Through this hands-on approach, the students obtain marketable job skills necessary to get and keep a job in the food service industry.  Special emphasis is given to the development of both a strong work ethic and teamwork skills.  Students who complete the program may continue to work and advance within the industry or may choose to pursue further education at a culinary school.  The present and future outlook for the availability of job opportunities within this field, especially for people skilled in the culinary arts, is outstanding!
